You can delete your StartaPool account and the personal information attached to it at any time. There are two ways to do it — from inside the app, or by asking us here.
Delete your account in the app
If you have the StartaPool app installed, this is the fastest route and takes effect immediately:
- Open the StartaPool app and sign in.
- Go to Profile.
- Tap Delete account and confirm.
Request deletion from this page
If you have already uninstalled the app, or you cannot sign in, submit the form below and we will delete your account for you. Use the email address your account was created with so we can find it. We will action your request within 30 days and email you to confirm when it is done.
What gets deleted
When your account is deleted, we scrub the personal information attached to it:
- Your name is removed.
- Your email address is removed and replaced with a non-identifying placeholder.
- Your login codes are deleted.
What is kept
Some non-personal, anonymized records remain as part of pool history — for example, the picks and results that make up a pool your group played. These records are no longer linked to you or to any identifying information, and they are retained so that the shared history of other members’ pools stays intact.
Deleting your account is permanent and cannot be undone. If you sign up again later, you start with a new, empty account.
